Three days of mobile mammography coming to Two Hills

The Screen Test program will bring a mobile mammography service to Two Hills this April, offering screening mammograms to eligible individuals between the ages of 45 and 74.

The mobile mammography trailer will be set up at the Centennial Hall Community Centre, located at 5301 45 Avenue, on April 24 and 25, as well as April 27.

Screening is free for those who qualify, however appointments are required. To book an appointment or learn more about the program, call 1-800-667-0604.

Prior to the Tow Hills visit, the mobile screening trailer will be stationed at the Killam Health Care Centre (5203 49 Avenue) from April 14-18.

For more information and to book appointments for the screen test visit the AHS website.

A mammogram is an X-ray of the breast and is the most effective way to detect breast cancer early, when treatment is most successful. Early detection through regular screening can save lives, notes health officials.

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
