Lloydminster Ribfest 2026: Father’s Day Weekend with BBQ, Beach Volleyball and Free Family Fun

Whether you’re coming for the grilling, chilling or just gourmet-style filling, you can get ready to dig in as Lloydminster Ribfest is back and it’s shaping up to be the tastiest start of the summer, June 19-21 at the Lloyd Ex.

Border City Connects and the Kinsmen Club of Lloydminster are bringing the community-favourite event, with free admission and plenty to see, taste, and do. The event runs 11:00 a.m-10:00 p.m. on the first two days and 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. on Father’s Day.

Rib trucks

This year’s lineup of rib trucks features crowd-pleasers Billy Bones, Buckeye BBQ, and Blazin BBQ, while Papa Jacks will be serving up classic favourites like loaded fries to round out the menu.

But Ribfest is about more than just great food. Organizers say 2026 will be bigger than ever, thanks in part to support from an Alberta CIP grant. That means more daytime entertainment, including live local music, a chainsaw artist, kids’ activities, and roaming performers—plus a headline tribute act to close out the nights.

Music headliner and Homegrown Harmony entertainment

Supporting Lloydminster non-profits

Drawing thousands each year, Ribfest is one of the city’s biggest summer gatherings—and every bite supports a good cause, with proceeds going toward community initiatives through Border City Connects and the Kinsmen Club.

The Kinsmen will also be serving up a signature hamburger and hotdog.

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
