Lloydminster Chamber buys downtown building, plans new business hub

The Lloydminster Chamber of Commerce is shaping the details as it plans a downtown expansion with a new office and business hub.

The Chamber has purchased a downtown building, marking a major step forward for the organization and the local business community.

The Chamber says it plans to move into the new space in winter 2026, where it will establish a Business Resource Centre to support entrepreneurs, small businesses, and community partners. The Chamber office is currently at #2 1808 50 Avenue South, which was opened in June, 2022.

The centre will offer access to tools, programs, and services aimed at encouraging growth, collaboration, and innovation in Lloydminster.

Officials say the new location will also expand the Chamber’s ability to host meetings, events, and provide accessible support to businesses at all stages.

More details, including available services and an official opening date, are expected in the coming months.

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
