Unity RCMP seek Ricky Vidnes, advise do not approach

Unity RCMP are asking for your help to find Ricky Vidnes who is wanted on several charges after a vehicle fled from police and later crashed into a building.

Mounties say officers attempted a traffic stop in Unity on Monday, August 17, after spotting the suspect, whom they identified as an unauthorized driver. The vehicle failed to stop, later collided with a building, and the driver fled on foot. No injuries were reported.

Thirty-year-old Vidnes is wanted on charges including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from a peace officer, and failing to comply with a release order.

Vidnes is described as five-foot-11, about 146 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He also has a triangle-shaped tattoo on his right hand.

Anyone who sees Ricky Vidnes is asked not to approach him and to contact police at 310-RCMP immediately or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.

His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
