Edmonton Police seek help locating missing father and children last seen in Lloydminster

Edmonton Police are asking for the public’s help as the search continues for a missing father and his two children who were last seen in Lloydminster late last month.

The Edmonton Police Service say 42-year-old Scot MacDermid and his two children, six-year-old George and nine-year-old Lesley, were the subjects of a missing persons alert issued on Sept. 8.

Investigators have since learned the trio was seen in Lloydminster with an unidentified man on Aug. 28 at approximately 6:30 p.m. Police are now hoping the public can help identify the man as they continue efforts to locate the missing family.

According to police, the direction of travel after the sighting in Lloydminster remains unknown. The family may have subsequently been seen in Saskatchewan or Manitoba, but their current whereabouts are not known.

Anyone with information about the identity of the unknown man or the whereabouts of Scot MacDermid, George, or Lesley is asked to contact the Edmonton Police Service at 780-423-4567 or by dialing #377 from a mobile phone.

Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
