Councillor Baker Asks For CN Rail Crossing To Be Fixed

Councillor Ken Baker added an item to this weeks City Council Agenda. He wants the rail road crossing at 49 Avenue to be fixed up.

“Bottom line is, the planks are split and they’re coming apart and the spikes are sticking up and I or others are going to get hooked up on it,” says Councillor Ken Baker.

He adds, “I just think we got to get on that, get together with the railroad right away and get that crossing fix because somebody’s going to get seriously hurt there or could wreck their car.”

It was suggested during council that they reach out to CN Rail directly to have the issue resolved. City Administration also said they would look at putting up signs for the time being.

Councillor Baker hopes people slow down until the problem is fixed.
