The City of Lloydminster is warning residents to stay away from ponds and lakes during the spring thaw. The city says that ice conditions on retention lakes – such as the pond in Bud Miller Park – can change without warning, and that everyone should be cautious near water that looks frozen. The city has also shut down eight outdoor ice skating surfaces – including Bud Miller’s lake – for the rest of the season.
