The Lloydminster RCMP have arrested two people in connection with a stolen guns investigation.
On Wednesday, police executed a search warrant at a home in the 3004 block of 48th Avenue with the help of Edmonton’s Emergency Response team. Five people were arrested, three of which were released with no charges.
26 year old Jesse Towndrow is facing weapons, controlled substance and failure to comply charges. 36 year old Mervin Meesto was also arrested on outstanding warrant charges. Both of them will appear before a Justice of the Peace.
The RCMP says the investigation is still ongoing as they try to recover the stolen guns.
