A Lloydminster family is receiving a Century Farm and Ranch award for farming the same land for 100 years.
According to the government of Alberta, more than 1,750 families since 1993 have received the Government of Alberta’s Century Farm and Ranch awards.
A total of 96 families are being recognized across the province. The Johnson family is one of the 17 families that will be recognized at the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village on Thursday. The Fletcher family from Wainwright will also be among the seventeen awarded at the Heritage Village.
