An apartment fire that took place over the weekend in North Battleford is under investigation.
On Saturday, the city’s fire department arrived on the scene of a structure fire at 2311 Ross Crescent. In a statement, the fire department said:
“On arrival at the scene, crews were faced with obvious smoke and flames from the ground floor. The fire was quickly brought under control, extinguished and tenants evacuated.”
There were two pumper trucks, four utility vehicles and 18 firefighters including two Chief Officers on scene of the fire. RCMP, as well as SaskPower and SaskEnergy, were also on scene helping the fire department.
Tenants were able to return safely to their apartments. The fire department says the fire is currently under investigation.
