Local group Ride with Angels is planning a charity BBQ for the Canadian Angelman Syndrome Society. The event is being held in the Lethal Motorsports parking lot at 5101 62 street, on Monday, June 15, with all proceeds going to the society.
Angelman syndrome is a chromosome deficiency, with hinders development among children. Board member Kent Fleming says the society is made up entirely of volunteers, with all money being used for research and patient care.
Lethal Motorsports will also have their products in the parking lot for people to try out. The equipment demonstration will run from 10-4, and the BBQÂ will last from 11-2.
