A member of the RCMP has been injured after being struck by a fleeing vehicle.
Monday morning, an officer stopped a vehicle along Highway 40, 10 miles West of Richard. At that point, the driver fled in the vehicle, turned around and tried to run the officer down who was still outside of the police vehicle.
The member was hit and suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries. The officer has been transported to the hospital.
RCMP are looking for a 2018 white Ford F350 with an Alberta licence plate of E79619. Police say the truck fled the scene westbound on Highway 40 towards North Battleford.
If anyone sees the truck call 911 immediately.
