Sask.Government proactively opening Lloydminster COVID-19 testing site

The Saskatchewan Government is keeping promises to open more COVID-19 testing sites in the province, with a cautionary referral only site in Lloydminster.

Currently, the site is open as originally planned, but only by referral from a medical professional, primarily through Healthlink 8-1-1 in both the Alberta and Saskatchewan sides of the city. Before calling 8-1-1 though, residents concerned are urged to make use of the Government’s Self Assessment Tool, and that if they are not showing symptoms of COVID-19, they do not need to be checked.

As of March 18th, the Saskatchewan Government says the Coronavirus risk remains low, with 1978 tests province-wide being administered by the Roy Romanow Provincial Laboratory. These tests returned only 14 presumptive cases and two positive cases.
