More Lloydminster children will be able to participate in and enjoy sports due to the generosity of local residents.
Lloydminster raised $13,662 through Tim Horton’s Smile Cookie campaign which was held from September 14th to 20th. All proceeds from the fundraiser went to KidSport Lloydminster to support youth sports in the city.
The organization helped 127 children through the $46,000 in grants raised in 2019.
Vermilion residents raised a total of $2,675 this year.
Nationally, it was a record-breaking year for the campaign as it raised over $10.56 million for local charities across the country. The campaign surpassed the 2019 total by over $700,000.
