The City is reminding people that the last day to pay deferred property taxes without additional penalty is approaching.
Residents and commercial property owners have until February 10th to pay any outstanding balance on their 2020 taxes. After that, additional penalty arrears will be added onto the balance.
These taxes were the first subject to a penalty on November 10th, after being extended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, via the City of Lloydminster’s Payment Option Relief Plan.
People making payments are encouraged to use means that don’t require them to go to City Hall, so as to reduce face to face interaction for pandemic safety.
People can find accept payment methods on the invoices sent out in May 2020, or online on the city’s website.
