The Saskatchewan Health Authority will be taking on all of Lloydminster in their COVID-19 vaccination strategy.
Health officials announced Friday that the entire City, including the Alberta side, will be vaccinated on the SHA timeline. This is in line with an existing partnership and using provided resources from the Alberta Health Services.
This means people getting their vaccine in Lloydminster will be moving along the same priority sequence as the rest of Saskatchewan, moving down the list by decades older to younger.
The SHA will be contacting all the City’s residents eligible for Phase One now. When Phase Two, or general population vaccination, begins, residents will also be called when they’re eligible.
People worried that their contact info isn’t up to date are advised to check their eHealth Saskatchewan Health Services Card Information or Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan online to make sure beforehand.
An online FAQ is also being given out online for residents with questions about the vaccine process.
