Documentaries digging into screen time stresses set for Lloydminster showing

A pair of award-winning documentaries about the frictions and issues extended screen time can have on kids and families will be airing in Lloydminster later this month.

“Screenagers”, put together by physician and filmmaker Delaney Ruston, dives deep into the struggles of balancing the amount of time kids and young adults spend switched on, and the impacts it can have on all aspects of their lives, including overall social development.

The second film, Screenagers: the next chapter, will take a closer look at Ruston’s struggles with parenthood, and looks to offer up solutions for both parents and schools to empower teens to overcome mental health challenges and build emotional agility. The first screening will take place on January 25th at Father Gorman Community School, with the second taking place on January 30th at College Park School.

Screenings for both films are free, but those looking to take part are being asked to register online.
