Making a new splash at Co-op Community Outdoor Pool

Here’s a splash of good news for your summer. Upgrades are complete at the Co-op Community Outdoor Pool.

The City of Lloydminster spent $101,000 on renos.

From new cabinets and counters in the washrooms to touchless faucets and timed shower heads, the facility has seen a full plumbing and electrical makeover. Change rooms now feature fresh benches and updated stalls, while epoxy floor repairs and waterproof tiling add durability.

The renos comprise:

  • New doors and trim for better access to the pool deck and first aid room
  • Touchless paper towel dispensers, mirrors, and change tables
  • Fresh coats of paint inside and out
  • Upgrades to exterior lighting, concrete, and cladding

The work was completed before the pool opened for the season, and the facility remains open until September 1st.

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
