Saskatchewan’s Turn In Poachers and Polluters (TIPP) line received 1,534 reports in 2024.
The 24-hour, toll-free service enables residents to report illegal hunting, fishing, timber harvesting, and environmental offences such as dumping or burning.
The tips from the public led to several enforcement actions. Conservation officers issued 3,089 written warnings and laid 1,833 charges, with many investigations resulting in convictions.
“Public tips continue to play an important role in helping our conservation officers respond to illegal activity and protect our natural resources,” said Corrections, Policing and Public Safety Minister Tim McLeod.
