Lloydminster, Meadow Lake offering online lab appointment booking

The Lloydminster Hospital Lab and Meadow Lake Northwest Health Facility Lab are the latest locations to offer online booking as the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) expands its online Patient Booking System for residents to make appointments.

The system allows patients to book appointments online for blood and urine collection, and at select locations, electrocardiograms (ECGs) and glucose tolerance testing.

Online booking opens in Meadow Lake on Wednesday, April 29, followed by Lloydminster on Thursday, April 30. Appointments in both communities will be available starting one week after online booking opens.

SHA says the online Patient Booking System is the fastest way to book a lab appointment and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

To book an appointment online, patients need:

  • A valid Saskatchewan health card
  • A phone number or email address to receive appointment notifications

Patients who do not see their preferred appointment type or location, or who need assistance, can contact the Patient Booking System Call Centre at 1‑833‑727‑5829, Monday to Friday from 8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., excluding statutory holidays.

SHA notes that walk‑in appointments remain available at all Saskatchewan Health Authority laboratory testing locations.

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
