Kitty Goodfellow was briefly a patient at Lloydminster Hospital in 1985. She was “impressed with the nursing care she received and bequeathed a significant portion of her estate” to the LRHF.

Ruptash Scholarship recipient Avery MacDuff is in her third year of nursing studies at MacEwan University and wants to continue the Ruptash legacy in her future nursing career.

“I hope to honour Jane’s legacy by providing the same kindness and commitment to my future patients,” says Avery on the LRHF social media.

The scholarship deadline to apply was July 15, 2026. More details are available on the LRHF website. The LRHF will open the application process again next year around April/May.

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
