The Lloydminster RCMP says four people have been arrested after a traffic stop, and a significant haul of drugs was seized.
On May 28th, at approximately 8:45 PM, officers stopped a suspicious vehicle near a motel in the 44th Street and 47th Avenue area. During a search, the police allegedly found 270 grams of methamphetamine, 80 grams of cocaine, 27 grams of fentanyl, and smaller amounts of heroin and cannabis.
As a result, 44-year-old Scott Carpenter of Provost, along with three other suspects from Lloydminster, 26-year-old Nicholas Dagenais, 43-year-old Blair MacPhee and 50-year-old Tamara St. Germaine were arrested.
They have all been charged with five counts of alleged possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. MacPhee and Dagenais were also charged with failing to abide by their previous release order.
All of the suspects have appeared before a Justice of the Peace, with MacPhee and Carpenter being remained into custody before a June 4th court appearance.
Dagenais and St. Germaine have been released before a June 28th court appearance.
