A house fire on Onion Lake Cree Nation has left two people dead over the weekend.
Onion Lake RCMP, along with EMS and local fire rescue responded to a house fire on March 10 at around 8 p.m. The fire wasn’t fully put out until the next day, where two dead people were found inside the home.
The Office of the Chief Coroner has ordered autopsies to identify the deceased later in the week. RCMP say at this time, the fire is not believed to be suspicious and that the investigation is ongoing.
