Four people are being charged in connection to the assault of a man in Lloydminster.
On December 27, Lloydminster RCMP was called by a man who had been assaulted and needed assistance. After an investigation, Mounties located a stolen vehicle and pursued it. They were able to disable it and arrested three people.
Another stolen vehicle was recovered in the investigation after it purposely ran into a police vehicle. Lloydminster RCMP then searched a home involved in the investigation and arrested a fourth person. They seized multiple firearms and controlled substances as part of the search.
Austin Simmons, Kendall Cardinal, Kiera Ochuschayo and a male youth have been charged with robbery with a firearm, aggravated assault and unlawful confinement among other charges.
The four made their initial court appearance in Saskatchewan Provincial Court on December 30 and remain in custody.
