A Bonnyville man faces charges after hitting a girl with his truck.
In the morning of Monday, November 16, a 9-year-old girl was hit by a truck as she was crossing the road in a marked crosswalk at the corner of 45 Avenue and 46 Street on her way to school. Bonnyville EMS, RCMP and Fire responded to the scene, and the girl was taken to the hospital with injuries.
A 54-year-old Bonnyville man has been charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian crosswalk, which carries a $776 fine. The RCMP say alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
