City planned street improvements are scheduled at the intersection of 15 Street and 52B Avenue, beginning Wednesday, Sept. 14.
ASL Paving and city crews will be installing extended curb bump-outs similar to the crosswalks on 65 Avenue between 39 and 36 Streets and at the intersection of 39 Street and 66 Avenue.
The 15 Street and 52B Avenue intersection will be closed to all vehicles and pedestrians during construction. Local traffic will be permitted at the intersections of 12 Street and 52B Avenue, 15 Street and 53 Avenue, and 18 Street and 52 Avenue, say city planners.
The project, is to support pedestrian safety, says the city. Once complete, new road markings will be installed to make the crosswalks more visible to pedestrians and motorists.
The work is expected to be completed by Saturday, Sept. 17, weather permitting.
