Several road bans will take effect from Friday April 7, 2023 at 8:01 a.m. in the County of Vermilion River.
Officials say the following portions of oiled surfaced roads will be banned at 75%:
- RR 12 from TWP 502 to .8 km North of TWP 504
- RR 20 from HWY 619 to TWP 474
- RR 20 from HWY 16 to HWY 619
- RR 20 from within the Hamlet of McLaughlin & all roads within the Hamlet
- RR 21 from HWY 16 to .5 km North of TWP 502
- RR 23 from HWY 16 to TWP 500
- RR 43 from Dewberry from TWP 530
- RR 53 from HWY 45 to TWP 542
- RR 55 from TWP 522 to TWP 532
- RR 55 from TWP 542 to HWY 45
- RR 64 from TWP 512 to Clover View Acres
- RR 64A from TWP 512 South 2.4 km
- RR 70 from TWP 503 to HWY 16
- TWP 474 from HWY 897 to RR 41
- TWP 480 from HWY 41 to RR 62
- TWP 494 from HWY 897 to RR 14
- TWP 500 from HWY 41 to RR 71
- TWP 501 from HWY 41 to RR 71
- TWP 503 from RR 70 to HWY 41
- TWP 504 from RR 14 to RR 12
- TWP 511 from RR 73 to HWY 41
- TWP 512 from RR 64 to RR 64A
- TWP 514 from HWY 17 to RR 13
- TWP 530 from RR 43 to HWY 893
- TWP 532 from HWY 41 to RR 55
- TWP 532 from RR 50 to HWY 893
- TWP 542 from RR 50 to HWY 897
Officials add the ban is being put in place to protect and preserve public safety and county infrastructure. The duration of the ban is unknown at this time.
All vehicles 22,500 kg and over require a permit to operate on county roads.
