Fourteen programs run by various Lloydminster non-profits will be getting some welcome change from the latest Family and Community Support Services grant funding allocations.
The programs are:
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lloydminster for Mentoring Matters – $40,000
- Catholic Social Services for Seniors Connections – $30,000
- Inclusion Lloydminster for Engaging Families, Creating Good Lives – $10,000
- Libbie Young Inc. for Day Program – $32,000
- Lloydminster & Area Brain Injury Society (LABIS) for Life Enrichment Program – $5,000
- Lloydminster Interval Home Society for the Family Violence Prevention Program – $40,000
- Lloydminster Interval Home Society for the Lloydminster Community Youth Centre Outreach Program – $40,000
- Lloydminster Native Friendship Centre for Engaging our People – $40,000
- Lloydminster Sexual Assault Services for Sexual Assault and Abuse Education – $20,000
- Midwest Family Connections for First Steps – $45,000
- Midwest Family Connections for the Maternal Mental Health Initiative – $3,000
- Residents in Recovery Society for the Intensive Outpatient Day Programming and Support – $32,000
- The Olive Tree Community Centre for Outreach Support Workers – $30,000
- Walking Through Grief Society for Walking Through Grief Support – $18,000
Overall, Council approved a total of $385,000 for 2024, after the review of grant applications.
