Border Beauty Showcase debuts at Lakeland College

It looks like a cut above the rest when professional barbers, hairstylists, make-up artists, and others turn up for the first-ever Border Beauty Showcase presented by Lakeland College on March 25.

Registration will close on Friday, Mar. 15, and is open to everyone in the sector with high school students being able to enter for free. Organizers add registration will be $25 to enter the various categories.

“It will bring together established experts in the field, as well as future stars who are passionate about pushing the boundaries of traditional hairstyling,” says Deb Minish, chair of the School of Health and Wellness at Lakeland College.

The action begins with a trade show from 1 p.m. on the Lloydminster campus, followed by the contest in three categories:

- Advertisement -

• Live barbering
• High school updo and make-up
• Avant-garde for individuals or groups of stylists and artists

A prize distribution will round off the event.
