Update: Missing service dog, Bubba has been found. She is resting comfortably and will be reunited with her owner on Thursday afternoon.
Bubba, a missing service dog was reportedly spooked last Saturday and took off. The owner of the two-year-old poodle-cross, Richard Dabels is anxiously trying to find her.
Bubba is a great comfort to Richard who is a former first responder with PTSD.
He was driving his truck through Lloydminster and stopped at Roberge Transport on the east side of the city near the Gold Horse Casino.
“We were transferring stuff from the pick-up to the semi. She got spooked by something and took off, on Saturday around 4 or 4:30 p.m.,” says Dabels.
Bubba’s picture has been posted to social media and the RCMP have been informed. There have been a few sightings near the construction site for the new arena.
“She’s a sweetheart. Very gentle. Just loving and kind,” says Dabels who is a former fire and rescue member in Meadow Lake.
Dabels is currently in Iowa and will be coming back to Lloydminster on Thursday.
