Lloydminster fire crews called to two business places

Lloydminster fire crews were kept busy at two business places on Wednesday evening and early Thursday morning.

The Lloydminster Fire Department was called out to the Foremost compound on the north side at 7:45 p.m. as the old tank fabrication shop was on fire. Nineteen members and eight vehicles were at the scene with the last crews leaving at midnight.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Meanwhile, Lloydminster RCMP are investigating an apparent forced entry at Tattoo Hussy, downtown.

Police say at 2:36 a.m. they were on patrol when they noticed signs of an attempted forced entry to the rear of the business. Someone had smashed the concrete from the outside of the east entrance, reported police. The fire department was called to the scene and the matter remains under investigation.

Staff at Tattoo Hussy were clearing up the damage and speculated that someone may have driven a vehicle into the side window.
