Police target crime hotspots in two-day Border City effort

A Lloydminster RCMP led two-day blitz targeting criminal activity has resulted in 11 arrests, the recovery of a stolen vehicle and seizure of numerous items including a stolen firearm.

Between Mar. 13-14, local officers with help from the Eastern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit patrolled high-crime areas and had conversations with community members about various concerns.

Along with executing 11 arrest warrants, three new criminal charges were laid, and the importance of proactive policing and community partnerships were realized.

The Lloydminster RCMP underlines its commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone and adds if you have any information regarding criminal activity, including the trafficking of drugs, please contact the Lloydminster Detachment at 780-808-8400.
