The third time is a charm as Cenovus Energy is again on board to be the presenting sponsor at Lakeland College’s Feast on the Farm.
On August 15, industry leaders, community supporters, alumni, and students will gather on the tree-lined Research Centre grounds on the west side of the Vermilion campus for an evening of delicious dining and live entertainment while raising funds to support student-led efforts at Lakeland College.
Feast on the Farm began in 2016 and since then, over $260,000 has been raised to support student-led initiatives. With faculty and staff assistance, students choose projects that enhance their hands-on learning opportunities and the college community. With funding raised from Feast on the Farm, they see those projects through to completion, learning valuable skills in the process.
Cenovus Energy also supports the college by contributions to the student awards program, the creation of the Energy Centre and residences on Lloydminster campus. In 2023, they made a $650,000 donation towards supporting Indigenous students.
