A man is dead after rolling his vehicle in the area of Marie Creek, near Cold Lake.
According to a news release from the Cold Lake RCMP, police responded to the scene of a single vehicle rollover on Highway 55 between Range Road 424 and Range Road 425, west of the city. The vehicle had been traveling east bound on Highway 55 when it went off the road, rolled, and went into the creek. A 23 year old man was recovered from the car, and police say he was the lone occupant of the vehicle.
Speed and distracted driving are cited as factors in the ongoing investigation into the collision, while alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
