The Lloydminster Bobcats are giving deserving minor hockey players an easier path to Post-Secondary.
The Bobcats organization announced Monday that they will be bringing back the RBC Legacy Cup Scholarship for 2020. The program gives out five $1,000 scholarships is open to any Bobcats player alumni or Lloydminster Minor Hockey player.
Students who want to utilize the scholarship must meet certain criteria. They need to be either carded by the Bobcats or have played in the LMHA, must be registered or applying to a post-secondary and must complete all parts of the application process.
The deadline to apply is May 15th, 2020.
The money comes from $60,000 in proceeds from the 2016 RBC Cup in Lloydminster. The team anticipates being able to give the scholarship for at least ten more years.
