The Lloydminster Bobcats have announced a new signing. 19-year-old defenceman Nick Quillan from the Gunnery Highlanders of the New England Prep School hockey league will join the team next season on their 2016 RBC Cup run.
Quillan had a strong season, recording 8 goals and 25 assists in 25 games, on the way to a semi-final appearance with the Highlanders.
Quillan will spend one season in Lloydminster, having already committed to play for the Colgate University Raiders of the NCAA Division I in 2016-2017.
“I am happy and very excited to be a part of Lloydminster’s organization,” Quillan said. “I am fortunate to come into an organization at its prime and have a chance to win the RBC Cup national championship. I am hoping I can make an immediate impact to this team and I look forward to putting on the jersey come September.”
