Lakeland Conservative candidate Shannon Stubbs says she’s confident in her ability to reach young voters.
Stubbs held a rally in Lloydminster with Battlefords-Lloydminster candidate Gerry Ritz, with the election just over 3 weeks away. She says she feels young voters connect with her message.
“I think the same issues that matter to most Canadians matter to young Canadians too,” Stubbs said. “Whether or not there are jobs, how many jobs are available, that they get to take home more money in their pockets, and as you know, the federal Conservative government’s track record of low taxes and of executing [an] historic number of trade agreements has increased opportunities across all sectors for all Canadians and allowed small, medium and big businesses to expand and to provide more jobs.”
Ritz, meanwhile, said voting for another Conservative government will strengthen Canada’s economy.
“More of the same,” Ritz said. “We’ve proven that we’re good managers of the economy, we’re coming through the economic recession in far better shape than most European communities. We’ve got a good track record, and I challenge anyone who says it hasn’t built a stronger Canadian economy.
The date of the election is October 19th.
