The City of Lloydminster is no longer Canada’s top entrepreneurial community.
The Canadian Federation of Independent Business released its annual rankings, and in the category of cities with a population between 25,000 and 149,999 people, Lloydminster has dropped from last year’s first overall ranking, to 6th. The listing ranks communities based on 14 criteria, including number of self-employed compared to the total employed population, businesses per capita, and business property taxes.
Penticton, B.C. is the new top-ranked city, followed by Grande Prairie in second, Collingwood, Ontario in third, Okotoks in 4th, Brooks in 5th, followed by Lloydminster in 6th.
