The Saskatchewan Health Authority and First Nations Inuit Health Branch are warning North Battleford and area residents of possible transmission at the North Battleford Wal-Mart.
Health officials believe that a person who tested positive for COVID-19 visited the North Battleford Wal-Mart on May 21st, while they were likely still infectious.
In response, the SHA is warning anyone who was at this store between 12 PM and 2 PM on May 21st to monitor for COVID-19 symptoms until June 5th.
COVID-19 symptoms include:​
- Fever
- Chills
- Cough
- Headache
- Aches and pains
- Sore throat
- Runny nose
- Loss of sense of taste or smell
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing.
If any of these symptoms appear, people are told to begin the 14-day self isolation immediately, and call HealthLink 8-1-1 for more instructions.
