E.S Laird is responding to a positive COVID-19 case found in the school by moving two classes online.
The Lloydminster Public School Division was made aware of the positive case on October 22nd, and in response cancelled off classes Friday, October 23rd.
In an effort to further minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission either within the school or to the community, students in classrooms 8C and 9E will be doing at home online learning starting on October 27th, and running until October 29th.
All other students will return on Tuesday, October 27th, and based on information from the Local Medical Health Officer, children in classrooms 8C and 9E will return on Friday, October 30th. Communication on this has been shared with the specific classrooms and the school community, the LPSD says.
Director of Education Todd Robinson says that the school division is working diligently to communication information to parents and caregivers as they receive it, and will continue to work to ensure minimal disruptions to student learning.
The LPSD, E.S Laird Middle School Administration, being supported by Public Health and the SHA, will communicate more information as it is made available.
