Lloydminster tops 10 cheapest places live in Alberta list

A new report from Moving Waldo shows in 2023 Lloydminster is the cheapest place to live with the best quality of life in Alberta.

According to the report, on average, the cost of living in the city is $1,378; rent for a one-bedroom apartment will cost around $794 and while respectively a two-bedroom bedroom will cost around $1,050. Buying a house in Lloydminster costs around $248,899. A highlight of the city which straddles the Alberta-Saskatchewan border is it is ideal for those who enjoy recreational activities.

Medicine Hat was second on the list with the average monthly cost of living around $1422 and rent for a one-bedroom apartment setting you back approximately$850

Cold Lake was middle of the list with the average monthly cost of living being $2,665 and rent for an apartment starting at $990.

Sylvan Lake wraps up the top ten with an average monthly cost of living around $2190 and rent starting at $1300.
