The Lloydminster RCMP are looking into a possible case of attempted robbery, following a 911 call placed around 11:15 p.m. on Monday night.
According to police radio traffic and confirmation by the detachment, the attendant at the Shell gas station along the eastbound side of Highway 16 in the Border City reported a masked individual knocking on the door of the locked station. The suspect, who appeared to be carrying a firearm, was wearing black clothing, along with a mask and goggles.
Cruisers quickly responded to the scene, but the suspect who had been at the door had left the area. Despite significant patrols being made, they were not located. The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
