A man is dead following a single vehicle roll over in the Pierceland area.
According to a police report, the Pierceland RCMP were called out to the collision scene around 6:00 p.m. on Thursday evening, which was located three kilometres east of the Alberta border on a rural gravel road. A 54 year old man from Cold Lake, Alberta, lost control of his vehicle and rolled. As he was not wearing his seatbelt, he was thrown from the vehicle.
The RCMP, along with Pierceland Fire, Cold Lake Fire, and Cold Lake EMS were brought to the scene, where the man was pronounced dead. Road conditions at the time of the occurrence were poor given the amount of rain received in the area.
